WearepleasedtoannouncethattheEleventhInternationalConferenceonDocumentAnalysisandRecognition(ICDAR2011),sponsoredbytheInternationalAssociationforPatternRecognition(IAPR)TC-10(GraphicsRecognition)andTC-11(ReadingSystems),willbeheldatBEIJINGFRIENDSHIPHOTEL,Beijing,ChinaduringSeptember18-21,2011.

ICDAR2011isorganizedbytheCenterforIntelligentImageandDocumentInformationProcessing(CIDIP)ofTsinghuaUniversity,theInstituteofAutomationofChineseAcademyofSciences(CASIA)andtheChineseAssociationofAutomation(CAA).TheCIDIPgrouphaslongdevotedtoresearchanddevelopmentinthefieldsofdocumentanalysis,facerecognitionandbiometrictechnology.CASIAisoneoftheearliestinstitutionsinChinainvolvingpatternrecognitionanddocumentanalysisresearch.

ICDARisanoutstandinginternationalforumforresearchersandpractitionersatalllevelsofexperienceforidentifying,encouragingandexchangingideasonthestate-of-the-artindocumentanalysis,understanding,retrieval,andperformanceevaluation,includingvariousformsofmultimediadocuments.ICDAR2011willbethe11thConferenceintheseries.ThepreviousonesofthisserieswereICDAR’91inSaintMalo(France),ICDAR’93inTsukuba(Japan),ICDAR’95inMontreal(Canada),ICDAR’97inUlm(Germany),ICDAR’99inBangalore(India),ICDAR’01inSeattle(USA),ICDAR’03inEdinburgh(Scotland),ICDAR’05inSeoul(Korea),ICDAR’07inCuritiba(Brazil),andICDAR’09inBarcelona(Spain).
